Absentee Voting & How to Request an Absentee Ballot
Casting an absentee ballot is convenient and secure.
Eliot voters wishing to obtain an absentee ballot and vote from home can order their ballots now by one of three options:
Order electronically through the Maine Online Absentee Ballot Request Service *Please Note: This service is not available for this election
By completing and signing an Absentee Ballot Application (PDF). Voters are encouraged to mail it or deliver it directly to the Town Clerk's Office, 28 Levesque Drive, Unit #9, Eliot, ME 03903. The application can be delivered directly to staff in the Town Clerk's Office during our posted hours. *Please Note that these are temporary locations beginning Monday, September 9, 2024 for the duration of the Town Office Expansion/Renovation Project.
Call the Town Clerk's Office at 207-439-1817 to request an absentee ballot. *Please note: Each voter must speak to a staff member to request their ballot for voter verification.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by telephone, or by written request is Thursday, June 5, 2025 the Town Clerk's Office will be holding extended hours for absentee voting and voter registration only between 5 pm and 7 pm.

The Eliot Democratic Committee has Adopted a Shelf at Footprints Food Pantry that stocks Period Products for women and girls who need them.
Footprints has set up and Amazon wishlist for individuals to purchase needed items and have them shipped directly to the Food Panty. For those who wish to purchase items locally, we will be collecting these items at our monthly meetings and delivering them at a time best suited for the organization.
