Show up for the Maine trans community

  • Maine State House Augusta, Maine 04333 (map)

Show up for the Maine trans community - numerous anti-trans bills will be heard before the Judiciary Committee. Equality Maine is looking for a strong show of solidarity for Maine's trans community as they face unprecedented attacks on their civil rights.

Trans youth deserve safety, dignity, and the freedom to be themselves at school and beyond. But new bills in the Maine Legislature would prohibit trans girls from playing on girls’ sports teams, weaken civil rights, and invite bullying and harassment of all youth. Some bills even threaten to strip trans people of their legal protections from discrimination by removing gender identity from the Maine Human Rights Act.

We need YOUR HELP.
